Illuminated Signs
 Most illuminated signs are a little more expensive, but the impact that comes from being illuminated multiples the effect of the sign many times. Even during the day a simple illuminated lightbox looks better than a standard sign as the panels are super smooth acrylic.
Can just the letters be illuminated?
There are several methods, one method is to laser cut letters into an Aluminium sheet and fit the sheet over a standard lightbox. This is one of the cheapest methods. Other ways involve illuminating letters laser cut from acrylic, the cut-out letters can be coloured on the face and/or have a clear edge to create interesting lighting effects. Another method is to fabricate letters to a thickness, say 120mm, and insert the lighting or neon tube inside each letter, this then can either illuminate the letter or cause it to splash light onto the wall creating a halo effect, or you can combine both effects. The face of the letter can be coloured to whatever colour suits and the sides can be a different colour.
Yet another way is to install the fabricated letter so that they present a channel to the viewer, that way around the illumination is even brighter as the lights or neon are visible. LED lights are particularly good for the individual illumination of letters, and are more robust than neon and less expensive than neon.
